CD MIX MONEGROS DESERT FESTIVAL
As each year, Monegros Desert Festival publishes a CD Mix with several of the artists included in the line-up. Mixed by AndresAndreas, authors of the official theme of the festival Alarm: On, the CD will be presented officially in the Pre-Monegros Party that takes place at the club Florida 135. You can buy your copy right there which will be the perfect commemorative souvenir with all the essence of the event, besides enjoying the set offered by AndresAndreas that won’t leave you indifferent for sure. If you can’t get a copy or you just don’t remember to buy it, you will be able to find it in the stores the following week after the festival. BJÖRK FOR COLLECTORS
The fans of Björk must feel happy. While the artist is found in full recording of her new album, it goes on sale a collector’s pack containing 7 DualDiscs (one side CD and DVD on the other). DANCING ON THE BEACH
Although of short path, “Electrosplash” is presented again as one of the festivals to keep in mind. Incredible improvements include a new 30.000 m2 precinct next to the sea, a new camping zone (Electrocamp) and a new stage (ChillSplash), dedicated to more melodious and relaxing sounds, as well as a loaded line-up of promising shows. Thanks to the implication of artists and labels, this event is gaining ground and adepts more and more every year, a reason which makes us happy, or course. The appointment, from 4th to 8th August. FALLING IN LOVE AGAIN
After two years of absence, returns the expected LOVE PARADE, the most recognized European festival in the world. The predicted date for the event is July 15th and the closing promises to make dancing madly to the crowd congregated around the “Victory Column”. Dj Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Westbam or Ricardo Villalobos are some of the names confirmed for a “deluxe” line-up. More than 400 clubs and collectives of the entire world have applied via Internet for being part of a parade composed by thirty-five trucks/float and to fill again the city of Berlin with love, colour and electronic music. SÓNAR 2006
Between the 15th and 17th of June, takes place in Barcelona the 13th edition of the SÓNAR, electronic music and multimedia art festival that has become an appointment indispensable for professionals of the sector as well as for admirers and/or amateurs of all related to that event. LIFE PARADE BCN
“Music changes attitudes and attitutes can change the world”. Taking advantage of the precinct of the Forum, Barcelona celebrated on May the 20th the Life Parade, successor of the failed B-Parade. New and attractive contents included expositions of graphic design, textile and industrial, conferences and debates, exhibitions of skate… At 17:00 hrs took place a communiqué of love, peace and tolerance and a parade composed by 20 trucks reuniting some of the best clubs and collectives of the city, filled the space with rhythm and shows until the 24:00 hrs, moment in which began a recital of electronic music offered by national and foreigner deejays.
Aleix Vergés, RIP
Aleix Vergés aka Dj Sideral was found dead at his home on May the 19th. Pioneer promoting the “club culture” in Spain, was an essential figure of the scene in Barcelona. He started his musical career with the electronic pop band Peanut Pie, focusing his interest on the clubs a bit later and becoming the most eclectic and mythical resident of Nitsa (BCN). He has participated in numerous editions of the Sónar, the FIB or the MONEGROS FESTIVAL, and has been resident @ “The Kitchen”, property of U2. In 2001 he edited the double CD “Darkhouz & Poptronic” and in the 2003 “Schizotronic & Techno”. In the 2006 was preparing another CD Mix and working in an acoustic record which would have been his début as soloist. On the section seductive deejays/the queen and her kingdom you can read the personal tribute that Sugar Heels offers to this charismatic deejays we’ll never forget.
DAFT PUNK presents ELECTROMA
Futuristic road movie? “Electroma” is the début as directors of Daft Punk. Lacking of any dialogue and without more protagonists than two robots that want to become humans, characters in which the French duet see itself represented, the film is a bet risked that has been presented unofficially in Cannes, receiving great interest from big personalities of the cinema who were present during its projection at “Director´ s Fortnight”, a section of the festival. Audio-visual art that carries the audience through an ultra-sensitive trip.
PET SHOP BOYS´ NEW ALBUM
Pet Shop Boys present “Fundamental”, a wanted return full of protest messages. With this work they leave very clear their opinion on the new wave of bands arisen of contests of TV, and they give their testimony on the new world after the attacks of September 11. Messages aside, you should not miss these representatives icons of the dance pop music of the 80’s and 90’s…Musically and as always, a great sybaritic pleasure.
MADONNA´S CONFESSIONS TOUR
Madonna’s “Confessions Tour” starts in Los Angeles. The Queen of the dance floors returns dressed again by Gaultier, with an unforgettable show in which do not lack criticisms to political leaders as Bush and Blair. The diva adds herself to the group of artists that have raised their “weapons” against the world situation that we are living today. John Digweed, idol among idols, returns to the load with a CD Mix that defines his evolution during the last ten years at Renaissance (UK). “Transitions” will be for sale in June and collaborating in it, we find people as Tigerskin, Catwash or Michel De Hey.
MISS KITTIN - A Bugged Out Mix
Miss Kittin’s back with “A Bugged Out Mix”, a double CD divided into two parts very differentiated: “Perfect night” and “Perfect Day”. The first part collects her vision of the partying philosophy, while in the second she relaxes herself and transmits us the same feeling, offering more ambient and minimalist tracks. FATBOY SLIM CD Compilation
Fatboy Slim announces a new compilation for June. “The Greatest Hits – Why Try Harder” is the title that receives a CD that includes 18 themes, two of them unreleased. “That Old Pair Of Jeans” gives title to the first single and classics as “Rockafeller Skank”, “Praise You”, “Weapon Of Choice” or “I See You Baby” (remix of an original theme of Groove Armada) are some of the super-hits that complete the tracklisting. We emphasize the ones received by: SPACE Ibiza as the best club, “Ultra Music Festival” of Miami as the best dance event, “DJ Magazine” to the best publication of dance music, Paul Van Dyk as the best international Dj, Sander Kleinenberg as the best European Dj and Chris Fortier, as the Director of Balance, considered best record label. The best band has been Depeche Mode, the best house track has been “Say Hello” of Deep Dish and the best dance pop track has been Madonna’s “Hung Up”.
Poison Dwarf´s new track!!!

Poison Dwarf, the band composed by Stephen Porter & Conor Mason, killest producers in Ireland, have had their new track signed to Noctambula Records, an Spanish label based in Madrid. “Edu’s Theme” is a deep progressive tune with a sweet and evolving melody that grips you instantly. On stores for the end of February, any deejay with good taste around the world should have this track on its record-case.

WIZZY NOISE announces “SABOTAGE PART 2”

Wizzy Noise, the superdeejays/producers of Psytrance natives from Greece that have revolutionized the Trance scene in their country as well as in other points of the globe, present their new album “SABOTAGE Part 2”, second edition of a trilogy that publish jointly Exposure Productions and Harmony Records, both labels from Greece. The CD is scheduled for March. “SABOTAGE Part 2” is a CD full of powerful tunes that will not defraud to the enthusiastic Trance community, something Wizzy Noise has us already used to.  Besides good music, the CD comes illustrated this time with the image of Sugar Heels The Queen Of Deejays, in a session of photos especially made for Wizzy Noise and all their fans.

What started as Dj/Producer Tony Estrada’s first Fiberlineaudio DJ Mix CD, quickly shifted gears when Katrina invaded his hometown with her crippling blow. New Projects : Night Fantasies

Nightthings is ready to start up another of its many interesting projects that without doubt will give a lot to speak.  As its own name indicates, “Nightthings” means “things about night” and this concept includes in it all that you can imagine related to the night and the culture that surrounds it. 

“Night Fantasies” is the title of a book that the label prepares in brief and which will count on the collaboration of great part of the nocturnal fauna in Barcelona. Club owners, promoters, performers of all types, deejays and other recognized characters of the nocturnal environment in the city as well as delivered clubbers who don’t want to miss this amusing adventure, are going to illustrate the pages of a project produced entirely by Nightthings.

New Dj Agency in Spain

Nightthings presents “Seductive”, sub-label dedicated to the management of deejays which promotes its own parties, produced in its totality by artists pertaining to the team of this new and versatile Spanish agency.

Recognized deejays/producers worldwide collaborate in this initiative, comprising a roster that without a doubt is one of the most complete in our country besides being a brave proposal. On the other hand, apart from consecrated names of the scene, “Seductive” is also interested in promoting new talents that without a doubt deserve a place in the “Deejay Universe”.
